Is Your Website ‘SEO Ready’ For 2013?

April 2012 will mark a gigantic directional change by Google in regards to how your website will rank in their search results.  Your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) methods must be changed before you lose your rankings!

Up to this point, the most popular and well ranked websites spent thousands if not millions of dollars to place well in the search results through exhaustive campaigns paid to third party firms such as Lyquid Agency.  Now, thanks to Google, the “smaller” guys have a hopeful fair shot.

Whether you are currently contracting your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies to a third party firm, such as Lyquid Agency, or attempting to optimize your website by yourself, start preparing quickly for a full re-adjustment of your current set up.

Google is no longer Google. It now directs me to its advertisers rather than to information. It limits my scope more and more each day, confining me to geography and searches I made yesterday. It’s almost as bad as Facebook’s friend suggestions of still more total strangers.

I’m not quite sure what you are asking. I can say that it sounds like you have a setting in your Google account that set’s your search to your geographic location. Try signing out of your gmail account then searching. If you can see a wide range of search results, then you know it’s a setting inside your account.

With google indexing Facebook groups, whenever someone googles my name, all the groups I belong to appear in the search results, showing that I joined them.
I don’t want this to happen, I don’t want potential professional partners or co-workers to be able to find out I’m part of such or such group on facebook.
Should i just quit those groups one by one or is there a way to “disappear” ?

I would highly recommend you adjust your Facebook privacy settings asap. It will take some time for Google to update their index (search results), but that will resolve this issue.

How does a minor make a Google adsense legally? Does Google adsense take tax out of your check or do they take it out of the payee’s bank account?

Since the creation of google in 1997, how many searches have been done? Any guess?

I heard google bought a new satellite or something so you can see anything “bigger than a shopping bag” with amazing clarity. When is this going to be implemented?

  • Nick says:

Google has started displaying a location under the search bar to the left. There’s an option to change the location, or to let Google auto-detect, but I don’t want a location displayed at all. How do I stop Google from showing what it thinks is my location under the search bar on the left?

I know that Google and major search engines normally index and rank well Craigslist ads but my question is how long does it take to do so? 24H?

    Thanks.

Google actually is ranking those less and less in the last few years. Google indexes websites pretty quickly if they are well optimized and verified correctly. Sometimes we get our blog posts or new web pages indexed by Google the same day and sometimes it takes weeks. When “SEOing” a website, it actually can take anywhere between 1-9 months for sites to begin to appear higher in search results.

Google was one of the Firefox supporters in the war against Microsoft Internet Explorer.
What do you think will happen now to Firefox?

    • Jeff Serani | Founder says:

Firefox will continue to reign over all other browsers. It is by far, the most secure, effective and compatible browser available and has been for quite some time. Google’s Chrome browser is gaining traction though. We use both. Thanks for stopping by!

Somebody has copied my meta tags on my website to provide them with the same search result rankings. They have chosen to copy my keywords and in the exact order as to make it obvious it was copied. Do I have legal recourse?

I’ve been trying to learn SEO for about a month now and all I really get is a bunch of information that I can’t actually apply. I have an ecommerce store that I would like to market and get some good search engine rankings.

Is there any good SEO blueprints out there, that will teach how to rank step by step?

  • Kobe says:

Does font size effect search engine rankings? I want to make a paragraph of text a bit smaller, so that it takes up less space. Will engines penalize me for this?

I am working on improving our search rankings, and need some help. Essentially, many external pages will link to ours in the future, but the pages that they link to we do not want to be index-able or accessible via a search engine. However, if possible, we still want these links to score us search engine points. Any suggestions?
